Comedy Postcard

This is a job I completed for a comedy show at the The Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles. It's a live GONG SHOW like the TV Show from the 70's, so I gave it a retro 70's look combined with the PBS Electric Company Children's Broadcasting show.

Jazz CD

This CD was prepared for Mr Tony Underwood, a jazz tuba artist. So I kept the colors cool, but not the same. Like the music I wanted the booklet and the other elements to stand on their own. Sticking with one color would only defeat the purpose of jazz.

Please note I did not design the cover. The cover was designed long before I had come into the picture, so i worked around it. I work easily with others.

Film Festival Program Cover

This was a proposal for the 2008 Queer Lounge Cover at Sundance. I've designed the layout and pages for their program for the past four years.

I wanted a sense of "Old Hollywood Glamour". It also doesn't tell the whole story. It's a little cliff hanger. I never want to explain to much. I just want to grab their attention. I like to make my viewers to think or ponder on the image, rather than forget about it too quickly.

DVD Insert - Gladiator

I made a mock up design from images pulled off the web. I gave the images a super grainy saturation to give an older, vintage feel. Something like a epic which will stand the test of time.
